Inspiring teaching at TUHH

30 research assistants of the TUHH complete the ZLL- I³-ProTeaching qualification program

The versatility of university teaching as well as the motivation and innovation of the scientific staff at the TUHH for the students was honored on 09.06.2022 in the LUK. Vice President Research Prof. Dr.-Ing. Irina Smirnova presented the certificates to the 30 graduates of the ZLL qualification program I³ProTeaching. In her welcoming address, she emphasized the added value of the program also for the development of leadership skills.

In a poster walk, program participants presented 16 practice projects in which they innovated and analyzed their teaching.

For the first time, visitors to the closing event were able to vote digitally and thus select a practical project to receive the “Audience Award for Inspiring Teaching”. The winners were 1st place Konrad Fuger and Ole Lübke with the project: “Designing an E-Exam for Functional Programming“; 2nd place Robinson Peric and Marco Hinrichs with the teaching idea “Online Workshop Scientific Writing for Theses – Challenges and Solutions” and 3rd place Wadah Garhoum and Jinyang Guo with the teaching idea “Improvement of understanding of nonlinear structural analysis with the help of MATLAB“. Congratulations!

The teaching or also teaching analysis projects are the core of the qualification program I³ProTeaching. In addition to workshops, job shadowing and networking meetings, the participants further develop their own teaching by means of a concrete challenge and didactic measures tailored to it. Through content-related impulses, own applications in teaching as well as cross-institutional exchange with colleagues, teaching competencies can be expanded and cross-institutional networks can be created.
