Detection of foldable pins on container carrying wagons

This master thesis is supposed to be realised in the context of a research project on the automation of container handling on trains in a seaport terminal. On a container train, the locking elements (pins) are currently handled manually, but are planned to be managed by a mobile robot. To do this, the robot must recognise the state and position of the pins on the container train with the equipped sensors. In the master thesis, technologies and methods for recognising the pins are to be identified, evaluated and summarized into a concept. [more]
